Ava is three months old today! I can't believe how big she is! She is too long for most three-month pants/jeans, so she is starting to wear 6 month size pants! I'm guessing she weighs between 14 and 15 pounds now, but I'll have that confirmed at the doctor next week.

Ava is such a doll. In the last month, she has accomplished so much. She is awake for most of the day now and takes a few naps. She loves to play with toys. She has started holding rattles and shaking them in front of her face, and of course everything she grabs goes right in the mouth. She also loves to stare at herself in the mirror (who wouldn't want to look at that gorgeous face?).

Ava is so playful and talkative now. She smiles all the time, and we *think* we may have the start of giggles. She has also started screeching and yelling when she plays, which cracks us up. She is definitely testing out her voice!

Ava is also starting to get this sleeping thing down pat, which is wonderful. We have a little bedtime routine now (bath, bottle, book, swaddle, and bed around 7), and we've learned that if we mess with the routine, there will be hell to pay. But when we follow the routine and put her down before she gets overtired, she sleeps like a dream.

Ava has much more control over her head and neck these days. She can hold it up for several minutes now. It won't be long before she has complete head/neck control!
