First Trip to the Zoo!

The temperature was in the 50s today, and it happened to be the one day a week that Dave and I are both off work. We decided to get outside for a bit and take Ava to the zoo! Providence has a small zoo, very modest compared to Chicago's Brookfield, but it is still cute. It was just great to walk around and get some fresh air.

I carried Ava in my wrap for most of the trip. She is able to face out now, and she loves being able to see what is going on. We had to take a picture in front of the flamingos, since they are pink!

We also saw visited the giraffes, and there was a sweet baby giraffe. Ava got her first lesson in sex education, as the adult giraffes were a little, um, *frisky.* I don't think we'll need the birds and bees talk!

We saw the elephants, too.

By the end, Ava was exhausted and fell right to sleep in her warm, cozy carseat. I think the fresh air did us all some good!
